Position Summary
The EBD Division's IT Supply Chain Team is responsible for ensuring
product availability to meet forecasted demand by the Sales Subsidiary.
Forecasts are generated via consensus calls with Sales Teams, Marketing
Teams, and with the Samsung Global Operations Center and tracked using
spreadsheets, SAP, and Samsung Systems and Tools. The Supply Chain
Assistant Manager is responsible for managing a specific range of
products and will work closely with the other Planners at Samsung ITD.
The Assistant Manager will also manage strategic projects on behalf of
the entire Supply Chain Team, generate reports for Executive Management,
recruit and supervise junior Planners, and represent the SCM Team when
the Team Manager is out of office.
The Supply Chain Assistant Manager will be the primary point of contact
for all supply related issues at the Sales Subsidiary and will directly
manage more junior SCM members within the product group. They will also
interact closely with all teams including Senior Management. Occasional
travel may be required.

Necessary Skills / Attributes
- Undergraduate Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or similar
- 4-7 years work experience in relevant field
- 1-2 years Supervisory experience
- Excellent Analytical and Computer Skills
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Office Suite.
- SAP experience helpful.
- Excellent Communications skills (written, verbal)
- Korean Language skills helpful for working with Samsung Global Operations
- Must be comfortable presenting to and promoting consensus-building
with Senior Management up to, and including at the Executive level.
- Must be comfortable working in a multi-cultural business environment
- Must be available to work overtime and on weekends
- Occasional Travel may be required
