Business Analyst - Fixed Income | Prudential Financial | Newark, NJ

Prudential Fixed Income Asset Management has an exciting opportunity
with our Business Analysis Group. The group supports various initiatives
for the following business areas: Sales and Marketing, Portfolio
Management and Analysis, Operations, Compliance, Client Services, Credit
and Systems.
This opportunity will allow the successful candidate to have high
visibility to different areas of the firm. In the role of Business
Analyst, you'll be responsible for:
- Liaise with end user/business and technology group to implement change
to processes and/or systems within various groups
- Planning and conducting the analysis of the business process and
system within a designated business unit, department, or group.
- Identifying and recommending cost-effective solutions to address
business challenges and/or opportunities and working with applicable
business groups to achieve the desired result.
- Produce detailed requirements documentation, communicate requirements
to the development team and working with them for the functional design
related to the project, as well as coordinate end user
testing/implementation.
- Working with the business units and technology to document and resolve
critical business system problems and issues as they arise.
This is a business side job that interacts with technology - not a
technology position.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-5 years' experience in the Fixed Income Industry
and Information Systems; strong knowledge of fixed income securities,
trading or operational processing
- Proven analytical skill and demonstrated ability to make independent
decisions and develop creative solutions to meet business needs
- Project management and/or systems solutions implementation experience
preferred
- Undergraduate (B.S.) degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or
computer related field
- Ability to lead meetings, assess needs of clients and extract
applicable information.
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills including experience with key Investment
management tools and trading systems
- Ability to work in a fast paced, ever changing environment
- Possesses excellent communication and presentation skills
